Or, do as Shapeways does - use X3D. AMF does seem to have some issues with surface division, from what I have read. I was thinking of supporting it in my Android App, but I think my time is better spent on other parts of it, at least for now. (Yes, Shapeways uses X3D internally - I have a colleague/friend who is *very* involved with Shapeways technically, and have been following his progress since the beginnings of the company.
