Correction.  The AP relay stands for anti-plugging not 
anti-pumping.  Anti-plugging is to prevent an attempt to change the 
direction of a motor while it is still turning at a speed which would 
damage the equipment or the controls.  Anti-pumping is a term used in 
a breaker control circuit to keep the breaker from tripping and 
reclosing repeatedly.
