Looks like due to a probable bug you can do what you want.
if you place the leds and the meter on the fixed widget then
on the top of the glade interface click drag and drop. now slide the
meter close to the leds. For me the leds overlapped the meter. If you are
careful how you place the leds then they will all be in the right place when
you slide the meter over. One other note is you will probably have to force the
meter
to a certain size - there is a setting for that.
