I have the needs to generate g code from 3D surface in mesh form, input data is STL or obj files, is there a good g code generator I can use? Open source will be best, but I will consider all programs if it works.
I have many 3D scanned people head, I want to mill the head (start from face), current I use 3 axis machines, I can change the machine to 4 axis. Thanks for any help. -- Youda On Mon, Sep 12, 2011 at 5:30 PM, gene heskett <[email protected]> wrote: > On Monday, September 12, 2011 08:29:42 PM Edward Bernard did opine: > >> Check out curtate cycloid curves: >> http://liutaiomottola.com/formulae/curtate.htm > > That is beautiful Edward, bookmarked & thanks. > >> >________________________________ >> >From: Kirk Wallace <[email protected]> >> >To: Enhanced Machine Controller (EMC) <[email protected]> >> >Sent: Monday, September 12, 2011 3:18 PM >> >Subject: [Emc-users] OT: 3D Surface Generation >> > >> >I would like to mill some 3D surfaces (violin plates) but I need a >> >means to go from a paper plan to g-code.
