I would strongly recommend that your Estops directly shut down the machine. Even if the computer crashes, Estop should still work. If the machine starts removing parts of your anatomy you want to know that Estop WILL shut it down no matter what else happens.
To run multiple switches, the best bet is to use normally closed switches and run them in series. If any one switch breaks the circuit the machine stops.
