Hello, all. I'm having a little trouble integrating a Sherline 5400
CNC-ready mill, a Gecko G540 drive controller, and the MINI interface.
I've worked past a problem or two on the Gecko side, and I'm just
=this= close to getting things working right.

My problem is that the JOG buttons on the MINI screen won't move the
steppers. I receive the message "command (EMC_AXIS_JOG) cannot be
executed until the machine is out of e-stop and turned on".

Unlike the standard Sherline CNC rig, mine has a hardware e-stop. It
is wired to the Gecko 540 connector pin 1, which comes in as parallel
port pin 10. That part is actually very happy, as the e-stop button
on the screen changes from (greeen "estop reset") to (gray "estopped")
depending on the position of the physical button. How do do the "turn
on" thing?

One more interesting factoid: Jog -does- work perfectly if I run the
AXIS interface, with NO other changes to wiring or INI files. (Estop
works fine in AXIS also.) So I'm hoping that there is a simple
configuration issue involved here.

TIA for any suggestions!

- Marty
