     2)  Type of machine:  Lathe, Mill, Gantry, Etc...
     3)  Length of travel for each axis.
     4)  Spindle motor Type:  Single or 3 phase
     5)  HP of motor.
     6)  VFD:  Yes, or no.
     7)  Spindle feedback:  Yes, or no.
     8)  If yes, resolution.
     9)  DRO:  Yes, or no.
    10)  If yes, type, and resolution for each axis.
    11)  Spindle brake:  Yes, or no.
    12)  Is gearing or belt drive important??

     1)  Type of Limit switch:  Optical, or Mechanical.
     2)  Mode of switches:  High, or low.
     3)  Homing switch mode:  Shared with limit, or independent.
     4)  How is it connected:  Driver board, or separate
     5)  Repeat for each axis.

   G)
     1)  Anything else??


   Sadly, I am more of a hardware person, than a software person, so I
do not know where to start in editing a wiki.

  I too am in the process of building a CNC.  I happened on a cheap
Chinese mill, and I have all of the hardware to convert it.  I have the
motors turning while sitting on my bench, I just need to finish
machining the mounts for the motors, and set up the limit switches.  At
the rate that I am able to work though, that may be another year.
