The stg1 card can only detect the index pulse on two axes which are selectable in register INTC by the bits IXS1, IXS2 (00=Index 0&1, 01=Index 2&3, 02=Index 4&5, 03=Index 6&7, 5.1.9 in the stg1 manual). So if you do kick them of all at the same time and the index pulse of one axis comes while the axis is not selected then your out of luck. The stg2 cards does not share this behaviour. I did not get to test my mods to the stg driver this week, please do until the next week.
