I agree with K Lerman. Don't mix logic and power.
Try a simple transformer and recifier for the brake power. Pretty
inexpensive
For logic (including limits, etc.) I use power supplies like this:

This is exactly what I use with my Mesa boards. 24v DC for switches,
relays, etc.
