The interference hunt was an interesting article.

The simple fix of using a set of directional antennas would work but is likely 
to run afoul of the FCC Rules as using higher gain antennas are generally 
prohibited unless they are Certified with the transmitter.

LED sign companies are probably still very mindful of the FCC scrutiny of their 
industry in 2018-2019.  The Enforcement Bureau investigated hundreds of 
products resulting in a least 21 settlement agreements with fines as high as 
$115K.  To settle its respective investigation, each company verified that the 
models at issue were brought into compliance with FCC rules, agreed to pay a 
monetary penalty, and committed to abide by a compliance plan to improve 
internal procedures to avoid future violations.  The compliance plans are 
painful and typically include filing detailed reports with the FCC for 3 years.
