Hey Brian,

While I don't know specically about Mexico NOM or EMC, I thought it was
very interesting that a few years ago Mexico used the NFPA 70 as their own
national electric code. It may have been as simple as an English to Spanish
translation. I can't say if this is happening with any other Codes and
Standards in Mexico.

I may be doing some research into this as well since one of my clients is
doing downhole sensors in oil and gas wells. The topside equipment is
probably UL 508A, but downhole sensors need to be explosive atmosphere and
also able to withstand fracking. It's going to be fun.
