That directness is missing on all the websites and email notices I could find.
Thanks again.

Rick

If you use the option to allow the user to use the default password for clauses
6.2.5.1 and / or 6.2.5.2 then the standards do not offer a presumption of
conformity and therefore a Notified Body has to be involved.

There is no requirement to use an accredited lab for compliance with article of
the RED.

The test report must always demonstrate that the testing has been done
correctly and competently and whilst accreditation is a handy "short cut" for
that, it is no guarantee.

Best regards
Charlie

Subject: [PSES] Is RED NB still required for RED Cybersecurity?

The COMMISSION IMPLEMENTING DECISION (EU) 2025/138 of 28 January 2025 published
EN 18031-1:2024, EN 18031-2:2024, EN 18031-3:2024 in the OJ.

There are notices that seem to only invalidate a section and or a paragraph
they reference. If compliance is obtained with remaining sections and
paragraphs is a Notified Body required for RED Cybersecurity?

Is an accredited lab required for EN 18031-1:2024, EN 18031-2:2024, EN
18031-3:2024?

Thank you in advance.
Rick
