Hi Amund, correct. That LISN is just a single path. You’d need two of them in order to accommodate line and neutral. If you don’t need the 100 amp capability, Tekbox has switchable LISNs. This one seems more designed more for military testing.

I don’t understand the diagram, is it only possible to the one line (L) in a time?

The LISN I am used to have L and N and also GND connection in the LISN chassis.

LISNs don’t measure common mode or differential mode – they measure normal mode. The below is from Frank Leferink’s presentation at the 2023 EMC+SIPI Symposium.

Clamp is ok for investigate DM and CM currents. LISN for formal testing at lab.

 

Right now, the plots of CM and DM currents are almost equal over the whole spectrum (10k – 30MHz). Surprise?

In the same setup, using a LISN, the spectrum is quite different regarding peaks and waveform.

 

I know the information from this test is defective, but do you have a first thought anyway?
