A customer believes that EMC must be tested according to EN 60945 since the product will be on the ship's deck for a period before it is lowered into the sea. I agree that EN 60945 and IEC 60533 are relevant standards to consider. But is there any EMC standard that actually deals with equipment that is only operated on the bottom of the sea?
Equipment is put into operation with cables running from the ship. Long cables with other word.
