BS 13A sockets are designed with a safety shutter to prevent accidental contact with live electrical contacts. According to the BS standard, the shutters for the live (L) and neutral (N) apertures must block securely. Is there any verification test available to ensure that the shutters for the L and N apertures meet this required safety standard?
