Thank you very much for your response.
Does this mean a USB Type C connector has to be on the device or can a
cable that has USB C with let’s say a magnetic connector on the
device end be used?

        Directive (EU) 2022/2380 [1] amending the RED with the "common
charger" published on 7th December 2022 

        Applies to all products in scope placed on the market after 28
December 2024 except for laptops, where the date is 28 April 2026 

        EU Directive and Regulations apply to each and every individual
product, so there is no grandfathering for existing designs.
