1. According Table 1 of KS X 3124; radiated emission testing is applicable
to he main body and auxiliary devices enclosure port for the following
instruments:
* Fixed wireless devices and assistive devices (e.g. base station
equipment)
* Vehicle wireless devices and assistive devices (e.g. vehicle devices)
* Portable wireless devices and assistive devices (e.g. portable devices)
2. Testing is to performed according to Clause 8.2. "Enclosure of main body
and auxiliary equipment"; "The test applies to radio equipment and ancillary
equipment incorporated into radio equipment or ancillary equipment intended to
be measured in combination with radio equipment."
3. According to Clause 8.2.1 "This test evaluates the intensity of
electromagnetic waves radiated from the housing of the main body and auxiliary
equipment."
4. According to Clause 8.2.2 "Acceptance Criteria"; "As shown in Tables 3
and 4, auxiliary equipment must satisfy the acceptance criteria for Class B
equipment according to KS C 9832." "On the other hand, for industrial and
communication center-only devices, the limits shown for Class A devices
according to KS C 9832 can be used as shown in Tables 5 and 6."
5. According to my understanding of Table 1 radiated emission testing is
applicable to all wireless devices.
6. However, according to Clause 8.2.2 only auxiliary equipment needs to be
tested?
7. Any help understanding this contradiction (my understanding that it is a
contradiction) will be greatly appreciated.
