I thought I had recovered the APT signing key, but it turns out the answer is "not entirely" I have, however, found a pristine revocation certificate in the same file, so I can at least do that,
As far as I can tell the problem is that the sec key as-recovered has a corrupted salt, the ssb key is fine, and unlocks with the known passphrase. The sec key is what is needed to sign the archive. Does anyone think that they know enough to recover the keys? Email me privately if so, given that LinuxCNC runs as root it would be very bad indeed if the keys escaped, so I probably won't be sharing the passphrase unless I really feel I know you. But I will happily try the passphrase on any key you recover. As an indication of what I have to work with, I have a block of text that begins: (protected-private-key (rsa (n #00D1854 -- atp "A motorcycle is a bicycle with a pandemonium attachment and is designed for the especial use of mechanical geniuses, daredevils and lunatics." — George Fitch, Atlanta Constitution Newspaper, 1912 _______________________________________________ Emc-developers mailing list [email protected] https://lists.sourceforge.net/lists/listinfo/emc-developers
