Don't feel too bad about it, Steffan.  Its likely there are similar gotcha's still undiscovered.  Old hands like me should be aware, but at my age, I'm likely the senior user here at 90,  memory doesn't always twig on stuff like this.
It looks to have been https for a long time, and git blame seems to
suggest that I am to blame.

In any case, it hints that Gene is the only person to have ever used zsync...
A direct copy/paste from that web page. ;o)  With the word "zsync" removed, FireFox would likely have just pulled it w/o complaint.
