org-id, IIRC, has a cache of some sort. Just look around org-id-update-id-locations. ---------------------------------------------------------------- A typical bookmark, has the following structure. "org-id, IIRC, ha") (rear-context-string . "ards\n> \n> Z\n> \n\n") (position . 800) (defaults "-" #1#)) You have to modify `bookmark-make-record-function', so that it a returns a record that contains just what you want: filename and front-context-string (which will hold the ID). No need to store the the position in the record. ---------------------------------------------------------------- I still think that bookmark is not what you want.
