Hi Bernt, Bastien has introduced a variable for this, you need to set it to get highlight in the headline only: http://orgmode.org/cgit.cgi/org-mode.git/commit/?id=b37e27 (setq org-agenda-restriction-lock-highlight-subtree nil) The face is now less intrusive, and you can change it of course. - Carsten
