This is much harder to extract. Even if most people are willing to use and know rectangle commands, newcomers don't. I once pointed this out on emacs-help, and one person responded by writing a command that extracts the source. So a newcomer would have to know to look for that command, get it, extract it, evaluate it, then extract the source he originally wanted to extract.
