Carsten et al., As always with org-mode, it does more than I could expect! I was writing some code to create org mode files which would have links to an external file. I wanted to link to a specific line number in that file so added "::NNN" (where NNN would be the line number) and thought I would have to make some changes to org-mode to support this. Well, of course I didn't have to make any changes! It's already there.
However, the documentation is behind as a result. Can I suggest you add a line, such as below? --8<---------------cut here---------------start------------->8--- diff --git a/doc/org.texi b/doc/org.texi index 10d26fa..408710a 100644 --- a/doc/org.texi +++ b/doc/org.texi @@ -2754,6 +2754,7 @@ file:/home/dominik/images/jupiter.jpg @r{file, absolute path} /home/dominik/images/jupiter.jpg @r{same as above} file:papers/last.pdf @r{file, relative path} ./papers/last.pdf @r{same as above} +file:sometextfile::NNN @r{file with line number to jump to} file:projects.org @r{another Org file} file:projects.org::some words @r{text search in Org file} file:projects.org::*task title @r{heading search in Org file} --8<---------------cut here---------------end--------------->8--- Thanks, eric _______________________________________________ Emacs-orgmode mailing list Remember: use `Reply All' to send replies to the list.
