You are not the first person getting this type of error on Emacs 30. I don't have any suggestion for you except suggesting release versions of Emacs (28 or 29). Currently, I'm not planning to maintain the package for master branch. If you use straight.el though, you can use develop branch of it. Maybe it'll fix the error.
