Could you give more info about the error you're seeing? I'm using R 3.6.2 and Org 9.4. But I'd be surprised if it doesn't work for Org 9.2 -- git blame suggests that html output has been supported in ob-R since at least 2015. But it wouldn't hurt to upgrade to the latest released version of Org (9.3).
