flyspell delays checking after commands listed in
`flyspell-default-delayed-commands' and `flyspell-delayed-commands'. The
default value of the former is

    (self-insert-command delete-backward-char backward-or-forward-delete-char
     delete-char scrollbar-vertical-drag)

But org-mode seems to use its own replacements for many of those functions. So
I defined the latter variable as

    (org-self-insert-command org-delete-backward-char
     org-backward-or-forward-delete-char org-delete-char)

and flyspell behaves as expected.
