I wanted to test the serializer changes so i got elephant from cvs, but elephant.asd complains that there are files missing: cross-platform.lisp, serializer1.lisp, serializer2.lisp and unicode2.lisp.

I just made a large checkin to HEAD. This means that HEAD is now BROKEN!! This checkpoint is part of a large change including abstracting the serializer backend, supporting 64-bit lisps, a new method of versioning and a host of other 0.6.1 related changes. I hope to correct or document the current problems later today so other developers can review or improve the features for 0.6.1.
