I'd prefer to keep the indicators for now. I'd be glad to personally send them to /dev/null as soon as we have https://blueprints.launchpad.net/elementaryos/+spec/memory-lending, but until that's done I have to keep my eyes open for memory and I/O hogs, even with zramswap. Since expo shows only windows from the current workspace, I still need the indicators for a system-wide overview.
