Yes, you can change the gain structure of your receiver. If you want -20dB turn on the ATT, if you want plus 6dB put on the Pre, turn them both on and you've only cut -14dB.. My numbers may be off, but the theory is still there. It's just about having the ability for variables in your adjustments.
