They may only getting to what's worth, at least from my field day experience with a K3; the greatest receive capability that I've ever heard in 53 years on the air. I worked SSB within 4 feet of another guy on CW - the amazing thing, was that we both on 20 meters and never heard a peep from one another. We had always tried to separate the CW and SSB stations by close to the maximum allowed. At one point, I looked at him and said "I can't hear you - he smiled and said " I can't hear you either."
