I'm sure this topic has been covered before. I would like to use my Heil BM-10-5 boomset and HMM-Y mic with my K2.
The HMM has both HC-4 and HC-5 elements, and an 8-pin connector configured for Yaesu radios. The BM-10-5 has the HC-5 element, and a 1/8" mono phone plug. I don't have an adapter cable. I thought I remembered that a small amplifier had to be used with these elements, but I can't find any reference to it. Do I need that, or can I easily set up the mic configuration block to mimic another manufacturer's settings? Thanks in advance.
