Tom, try these steps. 1. With dog and wife away, and fans off, see how you sound, adjust as necessary. This is your baseline.
2. Dog barks, put outside 3. Wife yells, see #2. 4. After front door slams, followed by ominous silence, go outside to retreive all your belongings from the front garden. 5. Bang fist futilely on door for readmittance, and be alert to catch the rigs as they come through the window. Seriously, set it once and forget it.
