YUP I'm a K2 nut and don't really care to read about all the new stuff with the K3. That's why I have filters on my e-mail.
We have a very diverse group of folks here. Your concerns have come up before. The end result is always the same. This is Elecraft and Elecraft is the order of the day. However, there are a great many other issues required to put one of these rigs on the air with a really good signal, maximum performance and ( lord help me ) computer control.
