I knew this would happen. After turning everything off and on a dozen times yesterday trying to fix the CW keying issue with N1MM, I gave up, made a few SSB Q's in the RAC Winter, and shut the rig down. Last night, I turned it back on just to check it, and had the same problem, so I turned it all off.
Today, I booted the computer, turned on the K3, started N1MM, and everything worked fine. I'm sure it will fail at the start of, or during the next CW contest I get into :-( Has not been a good week: One of the irrigation manifolds froze and split the pipe; my rotator suddenly won't turn west of north; The rig keying problem ended my CW-only RAC effort; and I washed my phone in a pocket of my cargo shorts. Not an approved method to erase your phone # directory ... but it works. Now, I have a new phone [$175] with more buttons, menus and options than my K3, only a handful of which I understand, and which features an empty phone directory. Sigh... I have no idea what changed the K3 CW problem. It would be nice if there was some way for the K3 Utility to exercise the DTR and RTS [like it can send and receive K3 commands].
