Hi we just ended in the IARU Region I SSB Fieldday There was a strange behavior of my K3 which I don?t know from the CW-Contests where I normally take part.
When transmitting 100W into a non 1:1 SWR the K3 reduced output power. That o.k. and normal. After the external symmetrical tuner hits SWR 1:1 the power stayed down at 30-40 watts with the power display showing 100W. We had to go back with the power knob to "Zero" and then back again to 100W to reach 100W again This problem did only show up in SSB not in CW. Is that normal? or is it a firmware bug?
