Thanks, Lyle: I barely hear the noise on 6 and I want to try the DSP enhancement, so I will upload the firmware in a few and give it a go. Good time for testing DSP here in Florida tonight with thunderstorms all around. But I will eventually install the mod just to keep the system up to latest hardware rev levels.
With two weeks of operational experience now under my belt, I will agree with some other observations that the existing DSP is very "peaky". Reports I see are that this change makes it less peaky. Also, the level drop was very annoying.
