P3 / K3 ideas
Perhaps there could be more than one version of the P3. I am thinking about a version that had NO display, but instead was configured for a user provided flat-screen external display. That way the details could appear as large as the user was willing to provide a screen to "fit", so to speak. This could be the P3N (for no monitor) that could fit a smaller enclosure on the operating desk, perhaps fit inside the K3 itself using one of the spaces now reserved for a transverter or something, . A similar screen / external monitor idea could be adapted to the K3 itself. I see a time in the not too distant future when the ham-shack has "morphed" into a "glass cockpit", with a row of displays, one for the rig, one for the DX cluster, one for the P3 functions, one for monitoring / reading various data type signals, and so on. All controlled by a mouse and finger-wheel, truly a "point and shoot" ham-shack.
