Make certain if the Heil is _not_ an IC type (electret or condensor mic) that the bias is off. His mics are dynamic and you don't want to feed the dc voltage into those with the bias setting turned on. > The Mic gain is less than 5 and the compression is 10. The ALC is never > out of the indicated range. Just for your information, I'm using a BM-10 with the #5 element and my settings are level=High, bias=Off, gain=15, compression=10.
