Brian, I have no answer on the incorrect frequency, but CWrev is upper sideband. I guess that is the main reason CW rev is required. If you are going from CW normal, there would have to be twice the CW offset figured in. That may be your 'wrong frequency' answer - the K3 compensates for the CW offset only once, not two times the offset.
