I'm thinking of packing the K3 for vacation and realized it wouldn't hurt to have a mic along. I don't want to lug a desk mic, and I have a drawer full of various electret models. One that is currently surplus is a Ten Tec 700. The only possible issue I see is that the Ten Tec Paragon I used it with supplied 4 V while the K3 provides 9.
I don't seem to have the TT mic docs any more, so not sure what the acceptable bias range is. If it won't work directly, I can use an internal 9 V battery. If I knew if the battery went to the same place that the radio bias went, I'd be done <g>! Does anyone know whether these will play together? Thanks much! Regards, Joel Joel R.
