Seems to be a conflict .. the KRC2 manual sez ground wire between KRC2 p1 and K3 ACC p5 (which makes sense), KRC2 errata say to use K3 ACC p6 (which is DIGOUT0 and doesn't make sense to me). In any case, I've wired the first way and AUXBUS from KRC2 p6 to K3 ACC p2. I'm getting ERR PTT and weird behaviour .. almost as if I'm on 1 and 4 rather than 2 and 5 on the ACC connector, but I've checked and rechecked - the diagram in the manual matches the numbers stamped in the connectors and everything seems sane there also.
