It was interesting to listen to the net from the Oregon coast. Most stations
were just above the noise level with several down in the noise, but there
were big exceptions. One of the Massachusetts stations (tossed my notes
already) was well over S-9.

Tony, VE3QF in Ontario was also booming in much stronger than most of the
gang and Phil W9DVM in Florida was stronger than most except for Tony.

Phil NS7P, just east of the coastal mountains from me in Oregon, was also
about S-5 or 6 - about the same as most other stations around the country.

After the net, the frequency from here was a cacophony of three or four
different QSOs all with decent signals all zero beat with each other! It
sounded like a roomful of people at a party all talking at the same time. I
guess the other stations couldn't hear any of that.
