I agree that monitoring into the speakers is a real problem with feedback. My whole point was that I want to be able to monitor the TX signal into the line out only (with level independent of the AF gain control). This is very useful, including the ability to judge the transmitted signal using the recorded audio. Judging the audio is nearly impossible to do in real time using headphones.
