Thanks for the off & on list suggestions. >From comments regarding my queery and my own understandings it seems that for a number of reasons a Linear supply might be the best. I'm doing my darndest to keep the noise level low on low bands and I'd like a crowbar in the circuit so I went with the linear Astron VS-35M which has 25A continuous and 35A intermittent and crowbar.
At $175 & $8 shipping from KJI Electronics it was More pricey than I wanted to go but that was the best deal I could find and now I have a solid PS for the K3 Thanks for the input!
