Hi Elecrafters, I just tried the automated TX calibration gain. As explained by Dick, K6KR, on the Reflector (Today, 3.21 p.m. EST), the ATU has to be by-passed. During my first trial, I didn't do that and got at the second HAM band (3.5 MHz) an error message stating that the SWR was to high (11,2:1) and the calibration failed.
Other topic. For the citizens of the European community, there is a new common regulation about goods exempted from VAT when imported by passengers: the exempted value is now 430 € (instead of 175 €) for those entering the EU by plane and 300 € for those entering the EU by car. From Aptos, the plane is definitively the right solution ! HAM stuff is always exempted from custom duties. To all Elecrafters merry Xmas and a wonderful new year.
