Bill,

If you are using a USB to serial adapter, try setting the speed as high as you can - it is counterintuitive, but many adapters have problems at low speeds but work fine at higher speeds. Again make sure everything is set for the same speed.
If you possibly can, try using a real serial port, at least as a trial.

I have not tried to use the 38,400 baud setting, but I have had more than
one person say that the 4800 does work. If I was more knowledgeable, I could
be a little more specific.  (Maybe I should call the Geek Squad :-)

Brendan, I believe that you sent the update for radio.ini but I didn't want
to add another variable to a situation that I am at a loss how to fix.
