Bill,
Check the data rates for both the K3, the software and your com port -
The program may be trying to run at 4800 since you have selected "K2"
while the K3 is set for a different rate.
Note: the K3 Utility program can set the K3 for the baud rate that it
wants to use, but the K3 itself does not do automatic baud rate adjustment.
