Toby, Thank you for the info. I didn't know the codes were on the internet and the HM Revenue & Customs website in the UK only says the codes are kept at public libraries. Having said that, one needs to consult the paper version to check the import duty rates & exemptions. I must say that on the few occasions I've bought direct from the USA the transactions have gone perfectly. Delivery has been fast too. The last Elecraft order I made (various upgrades for my K2 to bring up to current spec) arrived in 3 days. That WAS impressive, but I suspect unlikely to ever be repeated again.
