My soldering station which is an off-brand has bitten the dust so I'm
looking for a new, name-brand, IC-safe, temp controlled tip station. Any
recommendations for model...Hakko or Weller? I'm hoping to keep my
expenditure to $125 or less.
I have a pair of Hakko 936 and use them for everything. I also have an
Edsyn 951SX which works well, but I prefer the Hakko.
If you aren't looking for a station, but just a very good iron, the
Edsyn CL1080 would be my choice.
