Hi Brent,
There isn't an issue with the K2/100 and the KAT100.....they
work just fine.
In the case I quoted the KPA100 had been constructed wrongly by having the
incorrect parts installed. The KAT100 just had the SWR bridge diodes blown
out by the faulty amplifier. Even the best equipment can't be blamed when
it is constructed wrong :-)
When you build the KAT100 to go with your K2/100 you will wonder why you
had any doubts. It is the best tuner I have ever owned and compliments the
K2 very nicely. Mine is a Rev "A" ATU and has done 3 Field days as well as
daily service since it was made back in 2002.
